    • Codes Present: P0148 – Fuel Delivery Error P0191 – Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance P0330 – Knock Sensor Circuit 2 Malfunction P1233 – Fuel Pump Driver Module Offline Checked the fuel filter for flow. Installed an inline pressure gauge. Found that KOEO fuel pressure to be in spec. KOER – fuel pressure dropped to 20psi on start up. It struggles to get higher that 30psi and then settles in at 32 psi. It goes to 35psi under full load. Live data shows fuel rail pressure at 39psi, which doesn't correlate with our mechanical pressure check. Fuel pressure is also on the low end of the scale for KOER. We suspect an issue with the fuel pump control module, which determines what voltage to send to the fuel pump to vary fuel pressure. Unit is severely corroded and damaged. We suggest starting here. Fuel pressure on the low end of acceptable, so there always is the possibility that the truck could use a fuel pump too.

    • Vehicle has a code for EVAP Purge Valve Control. Removed the line for the Purge Solenoid and can blow through it and that should not be possible. Fuel vapor, when filling the tank, is pushing into the Purge Valve line through the stuck open Purge Valve and filling the Intake Manifold with fuel vapor. This explains why the vehicle becomes hard to start after a fuel fill up. Pushing down the gas pedal allows more air to enter through the throttle body and helps with the overly rich air/fuel mixture. We recommend replacing the Purge Valve Assembly.
    • Technician did not note any unusual smell in the interior of the vehicle coming from the dash area. Front tires are below the legal minimum and are down to 1mm. Rear tires are at 4mm. Tires are from 2022. Due to the large discrepancy in tread wear present if only two tires are replaced, we would recommend replacing all four to help the vehicle handle as safely as possible in emergency situations.
